The following morning I booked a half day tie dye Shibori and weaving workshop at the Houey Hong centre and in just 3 hours you create the best two souvenir. I was the only one there so I had a private lesson. Started at 9am and finished by 12 noon. Then I went to the train station and got in the Laos China railway to Vang Vieng 10/10 🚇 Transportation I used Loca and InDrive bike and car to get everywhere - both great apps and services. Along the way, there will be mountains and trees, including alternating with tunnels that go through many mountains. The time from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang is only about 45-50 minutes. After arriving in Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang station is similar but a little bigger, there are more shops and more people. The inside of the station is clean. After that, we booked tickets at the station to return from Luang Prabang to Vientiane the next day. Luang Prabang train station is located further from the city than Vang Vieng. On the return day, we waited for the train before the scheduled time with the tickets we booked yesterday. When the train arrived, we got on our own carriage. As usual, there were two rows of seats, one on the third row and one on the second row, but this time, the seats were switched left and right. The seats were different colors from the last time. There were quite a few people returning from Luang Prabang to Vientiane. We returned at 1:30 PM. As usual, we experienced the atmosphere along the way, mountains, trees, and houses that still retain their natural surroundings, as well as dozens of tunnels. The train was quite steady and did not shake, so we slept very comfortably. There was a bathroom in the carriage, and there were also staff pushing carts to sell souvenirs and food. It takes about 2 hours from Luang Prabang to Vientiane. Advice: For those who want to try taking the high-speed train in Laos, you must find a place to book tickets first. You cannot buy tickets at the event and get on. You must allow plenty of time. It is similar to checking in for a plane flight.
