We stayed at the two-bedroom unit at Rex Hotel during our trip to Ho Chi Minh City and really appreciated the space and convenience it offered. The layout was ideal for families or small groups—plenty of room to spread out, and each bedroom had a good level of privacy. The hotel itself is iconic, and you can feel its history the moment you step in. It’s not the newest in town, but it makes up for it with charm and a prime location in District 1. The unit came with a comfortable living area and basic amenities, and while a bit dated, everything was clean and functional. The rooftop bar was a highlight—great views of the city skyline and a relaxed vibe at night. Breakfast was decent with a mix of Vietnamese and international dishes. Staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay. For the price and location, the two-bedroom suite gave us great value and comfort in the heart of HCMC. #summervacay

I recently visited Ho Chi Minh City and stayed at the Rex Hotel🏨 located in the city center at 141 Nguyen Hue Street, District 1. It was truly convenient! This four-star hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. You can walk to many attractions, such as the War Remnants Museum and various local markets. The hotel has a strong colonial atmosphere, giving it a historical feel. The reception experience was great, with helpful staff, and most of them understand English, which is quite important in Vietnam. About the room experience, we stayed in a suite that was super spacious with a very comfortable bed. The room facilities were complete, though some equipment was a bit outdated. For example, the air conditioner was quite noisy, which affected our sleep at times😅. The shower water wasn't always hot enough, but overall the stay was quite comfortable. The hotel breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options. I especially recommend their beef pho, which was incredibly delicious🍜. The bar upstairs is also nice, where you can enjoy cocktails while overlooking Ho Chi Minh City's night view. Speaking of the night view, the rooftop bar is a great spot, though it would be perfect if they could improve the waiters' attitude. The surrounding area is really convenient with many restaurants and bars right outside. I particularly recommend The Lounge - Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel and Poke Saigon Ly Tu Trong, both excellent dining options. There are also many cafes nearby, so you won't lack good places for a relaxing afternoon tea. However, there are some minor drawbacks worth mentioning, especially the unstable power outlets that kept disconnecting, making charging quite troublesome. The bathroom water temperature was sometimes insufficient, and the hotel's air quality was a bit problematic - occasionally you could smell cigarette smoke, which was somewhat uncomfortable. But these didn't affect my overall check-in experience🏨. All in all, the Rex Hotel is a good choice, particularly for its location and breakfast. If you're planning to visit Ho Chi Minh City, consider this history-rich hotel and experience authentic Vietnamese charm!

It has a very good location, surrounded by many restaurants and commercial areas, and many famous attractions can be reached on foot. 🛵The hotel is conveniently located near transportation. It only costs about US$10 to take a taxi from Tan Son Nhat Airport, which is very convenient. 🌟The Rex Hotel has a colonial-style atmosphere, with a historical feel from its exterior to its interior, making people feel like they’ve traveled back in time. The hotel has complete facilities including a swimming pool, restaurant and rooftop bar. 🛎️I must mention the check-in experience. The front desk reception was very enthusiastic. Although the room needed to wait until noon to be ready, they upgraded our room, which was very considerate. The overall decoration of the hotel is in a classical and gorgeous style, giving people a sense of tranquility and elegance. 🔑The suite we stayed in was really great, spacious and comfortable. The bedding is of high quality and I slept soundly every day for several days. The facilities in the room are also very complete, from the bathrobes, slippers to toiletries provided, all are of high quality. However, there is still a small annoyance. The power socket is a bit old and not very stable, and the power cord is not easy to fix when charging. The view from the rooftop bar was great with great views over Ho Chi Minh City although the wait staff were a bit pushy which was not pleasant. 🍜The breakfast is so rich and varied, from local food to Western breakfast. I recommend you to try their beef pho, the soup is delicious and you will definitely never forget it. I also tried the hotel's hot spring SPA, which was a real treat for relaxation at the end of the day and well worth it. It is also a pleasure to have a drink at the rooftop bar every morning and evening and look at the night view of Ho Chi Minh City. 🏞The surrounding attractions are within walking distance of Ho Chi Minh City Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market, as well as many fashionable cafes and restaurants. I recommend Lagom Café, XLIII Coffee and Cafe de L'Opera, which are good choices whether you want to sit back or work. ❗️If you are a fan of Korean cuisine, then Palsaik Korean BBQ Vietnam (Dong Du) is also a must-visit place. In short, Rex Hotel is great from its location to its service experience. Although some facilities are a bit old, it does not detract from the overall charm of this hotel. 👍For friends who like a sense of history and efficiency and convenience, this must be a good choice.
