Wandering Zugdidi Botanical Garden
#summervacay Zugdidi Botanical Garden? Total green escape. Right in the middle of town but feels like you just stepped into a quiet forest. Super old trees, winding little paths, and that fresh leafy smell everywhere. Honestly, it’s the kind of place that makes you wanna slow down and just wander without a plan.
There’s a mix of native and exotic plants, which sounds super sciencey, but really it’s just pretty. Big palm trees, giant oaks, and some random flowers popping up in the most unexpected corners. It’s also connected to the Dadiani Palace, so you kinda get a two-for-one vibe, nature and history in one chill stroll.
Locals use it like a regular park, saw kids playing, people jogging, couples just relaxing on benches. Super peaceful and shady, especially great on hot days.
If you’re in Zugdidi and need a break from sightseeing or just wanna enjoy some fresh air and tree therapy, this garden hits the spot. Zero rush, just pure greenery and good vibes.

Strolling Around Rukhi Fortress
#summervacay So I ended up at Rukhi Fortress (or Rukhis Tsikhe) kinda randomly while exploring around Zugdidi, and wow totally worth the detour. This place has that quiet, mysterious energy, like it’s been through a lot (spoiler: it has). It’s an old stone fortress, super rustic, but that’s what makes it cool.
The walk up to it is mellow, nothing crazy, just fields, trees, and birds chirping. The fortress itself isn’t crowded at all, so you basically have the whole vibe to yourself. Great for wandering, climbing a bit, or just imagining old-timey battles (if you're into that kinda thing).
There’s a pretty awesome view from the top, especially at sunset when everything turns golden and dramatic. The whole place is peaceful, with zero noise except wind and maybe a cow or two nearby.
Not flashy, not touristy, but that’s the charm. If you’re near Zugdidi and want something different, slow, and kinda magical, Rukhi Fortress is your spot. Perfect for history lovers or daydreamers alike.

PANAMA Restaurant, Zugdidi Georgia.
Come on, we are still in Zugdidi, Georgia.
But I will take you to eat at a small restaurant, but the taste and quantity are not small at all.
The restaurant is called "PANAMA", which is owned by a friendly uncle and aunt.
They also recommend good menus.
We ordered 2 dishes: Chicken ShaShlik and Chicken Kebab.
The plate comes with salad, which is fresh and very delicious. It is so satisfying to eat.
As for the meat, it is well-made, not dry or hard. I think I did not regret coming to eat here.
The restaurant is located at: 10 Tavisupleba Street, 2100 Zugdidi, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Georgia
You can open the map and follow the directions. The restaurant is not hard to find.
I hope this review will help you decide for those who visit this city and find delicious restaurants to eat at.
