✨ This time, we traveled to China by connecting with Air China at Shenzhen. Since it was a domestic flight, we had to go through the Domestic Terminal. ✨ The Domestic Terminal is quite large, so if you're traveling, it's recommended to allow extra time for walking. Inside, after passing the security check, there are plenty of restaurants, beverage shops, and stores. ✨ Before boarding, there are ample seating areas near the gate. The seats are quite comfortable, and there are charging stations available. ✨ The aircraft is an Airbus A330-300 with a 2-4-2 seating configuration. The seats are comfortable, not too small or cramped, and each seat has a personal entertainment screen. The control panel is located on the armrest. ✨ A snack box and beverages are served onboard.

Yes!! We landed in Shenzhen and headed straight to the high speed metro line 11 (one of the fastest underground lines in the world). This took us to Futuan Station in the center of Shenzhen in just a few minutes, where we hopped on the high speed rail line that took us to Hong Kong in just 15 minutes!! It was like living in the future. We had an amazing holiday in HK, and then travelled back to Shenzhen via ferry from Hong Kong’s central piers, arriving at SheKou port where there were zero queues at the border, and head on yet another metro line to our final hotel in Seaworld, which is 5 minutes away from the ferry terminal, before flying back home.#couplestrip #travel #myitinerary #train #plane #ferry #chinatransit #china #travelinginchina

An international airport in Shenzhen. The terminal is huge, all white, with an impressive mesh-patterned ceiling. The flow of traffic is simple, and you can smoothly complete security checks and enter the restricted area. There are many restaurants in the restricted area, and the rice noodles (mi fen) I had this time were delicious. To get to some boarding gates, you need to take a train from the main terminal building to Satellite Island. This seems to be new and was very clean. The travel time by train is not long, but the intervals between trains are longer than expected, so I recommend leaving plenty of time for your trip.

The lounge is the one across the ones exclusives to two of the three airline specific lounges. Good is out all day. Can order now and then. Single sofas, nicer than the benches, they have coffee, teas, coke and some other drinks, enough to keep you going. Good quick stop, But annoying if your flights already got delayed by 4 days and then gets delayed again and again while you are stuck in a tiny terminal with nowhere to actually sleep.
