#meetsingapore Saint Joseph's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Singapore. It is located along Victoria Street in the Rochor Planning Area, within the Central Area of Singapore's central business district. This Portuguese church was recently restored in time for its 110th anniversary. Beautifully illuminated, the church was open to the public for heritage tours and performances featuring the beautiful voice of Corrinne May and also the church’s Sacred Heart Choir. The Church began in 1899 and rebuilt in 1912. National Heritage Board has made it a National Monument in 2005. Now it's undergoing restoration work. It is located opposite National Library Victoria Street. Walking distance to Bugis Street, Bugis+, and Bugis Junction. Bras Basah Complex is also across the road. The whole stretch of Victoria Street is filled with historical sites and buildings. #localhistory

Just down the road, St. Joseph’s Church captured our hearts with its unique Portuguese-inspired architecture and peaceful garden.
