【Malaysia】One-day tour in Malacca
Take part in the one-day tour of Malacca, starting from Kuala Lumpur, driving for about two hours to Malacca, St. Peter's Church → Porta de Santiago → Dutch Square → St. Paul's Church → Red Square → Lunch (Nyonya cuisine) → Jonker Street → Malacca River → Return to Kuala Lumpur
Melaka, also known as Malacca, is one of the most historically significant cities in Malaysia. Since ancient times, Malacca has become an important trade center in Southeast Asia due to its strategic location and trade advantages. As early as the Ming Dynasty, Zheng He used Malacca as one of his bases when he sailed to the West, making the Chinese culture here deeply rooted in this land.
The history of this city is like a story of multicultural interweaving. As Chinese immigrants settled here and intermarried with locals, a unique ethnic group gradually emerged - Baba-Nyonya, the descendants of Chinese and Malays. On the streets of Malacca, you can see a large number of well-preserved ancient buildings. These architectural styles combine elements from the East and the West, reflecting the multicultural characteristics of Malacca as a trade hub in the past.
I came to Malacca once and participated in a one-day tour. I was not able to appreciate the beauty and food of Malacca, which was a pity.
