The most stunning alpine meadows and flower fields among the three towns, but also the most crowded. 2️⃣Cuiyun Mountain Forest Park (Strong recommendation❗) 🚗30min from Fulong. Take the shuttle down after hiking up with kids, enjoying a natural forest bath and fresh air. The trail is 1/3 wooden boardwalk, 1/3 stone path, and 1/3 dirt road. We walked the first 1/3 boardwalk with our toddler and pushed the stroller up the shuttle's stone path—not too tiring. Seniors/kids can take the shuttle both ways. The summit features Ming Dynasty Great Wall ruins + wind turbine arrays—spectacular! 3️⃣Cuiyun Mountain Resort Perfect for 3-year-olds: Most rides in the family park (9 AM–10 PM) and tank rides + lakeside train + boating in the water park (9 AM–8 PM). 4️⃣Magpie Ridge - Free scenic area, fully drivable, on the way back to Beijing (Strong recommendation❗) If you want your own "Altay"-like experience—endless alpine meadows, cartoon-like clouds, wild cattle, horseback riding + camping + forest bathing—this is a must-visit! Navigate to "Chongli Magpie Ridge Scenic Area." First, you’ll pass sunflower fields nestled between mountains. After spotting the first brown Magpie Ridge landmark sign, start climbing. Spending the summer in Chongli was such a smart decision! I regret not discovering the beautiful Fulong Four Seasons Town sooner. It's so close to Beijing and perfect for a summer getaway from the Jing-Jin-Ji area. ✅ Lakeside location with European-style architecture, giving it a foreign vacation vibe. ✅ Plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, perfect for kids. ✅ Average summer temperature of 20°C (68°F) – you'll need a blanket at night! ‼️This guide is packed with info, so like and save it for later! [Transportation] 🚗 By car: Navigate to "Fulong Four Seasons Town," about a 3-hour drive from Beijing. 🚄 By high-speed rail: Take the train from Beijing North/Qinghe Station to Chongli. From the station, it's a 10-minute taxi ride to Fulong Town. [2-Day Weekend Itinerary] Day 1: Arrive at Fulong Town - Outdoor activities - Feed the fish by the lake and take photos - Watch the fountain and light show at 8pm (or opt for the circus). Day 2: Take the cable car to the mountaintop for the Sky Mirror - Indoor playground - Return trip. [What to Do❓] 1️⃣ Photo Ops ✔️ The European-style buildings around the lake are a must-see. With the blue sky and white clouds as a backdrop, every shot is a masterpiece. (Fountains open at 11am, with a light show at 8pm). ✔️ The colorful murals in town are also fun photo spots. ✔️ Take the cable car up the mountain to capture the Sky Mirror, mountaintop swings, and vast flower fields. 2️⃣ Activities Bouncy castles, the Polar Bear Paradise, various trampolines, go-karts, 🌈 rainbow slides, grass slides, cable cars🚡, downhill mountain biking, and more – you won't be able to do it all in one day!😂 3️⃣ Shows Every night from Tuesday to Sunday, there's a circus performance from 8pm to 9pm. I originally thought that Chongli is only suitable for skiing in winter, but I didn’t expect that it is also a great place to escape the heat in summer. The town in autumn is even less crowded and beautiful, making it very suitable for a two-day weekend trip from Beijing. Plan to escape Beijing this weekend ➡️Take the high-speed train for 1 hour and visit Fulong Four Seasons Town in Chongli. It feels like you are in European Citywalk, a fairy-tale European-style town and its movies, and no tickets are required! The circle of friends was full of praise! The ski season is about to start, so this is the right place to choose when traveling around Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei 👍 🌸What to do in Fulong Four Seasons Town 1️⃣Taking photos around the lake📷Pretending to be in Europe series The European-style buildings surrounding the lake are stunning when you take a photo of them. With the autumn sunshine☀️, the reflection on the lake does not require a filter and has a symmetrical beauty. Chongli Fulun Four Seasons Town really looks like Europe! It is also very close to Beijing, with the high-speed rail taking only one hour to get there. If you want to spend the weekend somewhere else, this is the right place for a two-day trip from Beijing. Walking in the town, you feel like you are in a European painting. Every architectural detail exudes a strong European romance. 🌸What to do in the town: 1️⃣Take photos and shoot them📷 The scenery around the lake is comparable to that of Europe. On sunny days, the reflection of the lake does not need to be retouched when taking photos. The original photos are beautiful.
