Sun World Ha Long Park - Sun Wheel
The beauty of traveling independently is that you can take your time to explore the places you love without rushing!
When researching itineraries for Northern Vietnam, aside from the picturesque karst formations of Ha Long Bay, another point of interest was the Queen Cable Car and the Sun Wheel!
Sun World Ha Long Park is a large theme park located in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. It combines natural beauty with various attractions, drawing numerous domestic and international visitors. Among its highlights is the Sun Wheel, a signature feature of the park and one of the tallest Ferris wheels in Vietnam.
For months, I had been seeing news about the Sun Wheel being under maintenance, and I was worried I might miss the chance to ride this towering Ferris wheel and enjoy the panoramic views. Luckily, just a few weeks before our visit, the Sun Wheel reopened!
The queue was quite busy, mostly filled with tour groups and locals, but the line moved quickly. After waiting for about 10 minutes, we were able to board the ride!
The 360-degree unobstructed views of Ha Long Bay were breathtaking—whether you’re admiring the cityscape, the ocean, the sunset, or the cable cars, the scenery is truly uplifting!
Since we weren’t in a hurry, we deliberately chose to ride during sunset to avoid the scorching sun. Even in the non-air-conditioned cabin, it didn’t feel hot at all!
Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re visiting Ha Long Bay!
