🇲🇾Malaysia is truly my new happy home! I've been here 3 times and it's still fun! Great value for money, rich scenery and food, and little language barrier! ✈️Taking advantage of the off-season, I set out decisively. This time I unlocked Sabah in East Malaysia. The feeling here is totally different from West Malaysia. Kota Kinabalu + Semporna, 5 days and 4 nights, NT$2,500 per person! Friends who want to go, you can keep this guide in mind. ------ 🗺️Itinerary: DAY1: Land in Kota Kinabalu, transfer to Tawau, stroll around Semporna town DAY2: Semporna snorkeling or scuba diving island hopping day trip DAY3: Kota Kinabalu shopping and eating + Tanjong Aru Beach sunset DAY4: Look for proboscis monkeys in the mangroves + firefly night tour DAY5: University of Sabah, Floating Mosque ------ 📗【About Semporna】 Located in Tawau Province, it takes about 40 minutes to fly from Kota Kinabalu. There are many flights and the prices are very reasonable. After landing, it takes about an hour to drive to Semporna town. I personally feel that Semporna Town is like a small fishing village. Not much to walk around. There is a place near the pier where there are almost no tourists. A small fish market, you can go and have a look if you are interested. Location: Pasar Ikan Kecil Semporna 🟡The must-experience here is island hopping! I chose: snorkeling in the 3 islands of Mataking, Don't be afraid if you can't swim, there will be a coach to guide you. The underwater world is so beautiful. You can see the glass sea and rich corals and underwater creatures. I was also lucky enough to see a big turtle. If you are on a boat, sit on the left side so you won't be so exposed to the sun. ------ 📗【About Kota Kinabalu】 The capital of Sabah State is probably the most prosperous city in East Malaysia. The supporting facilities are complete, the transportation is convenient and the playability is high. 📍Tanjung Aru Beach: There are three of the world's top sunsets here, and you can see them on any sunny day. It is recommended to check the sunset time in advance and arrive half an hour in advance. The clouds change differently every minute, and it is even more amazing 15 minutes after the sun sets below the sea level! 📍One-day tour to the mangrove forest: I went to the Turtle Garden Mangrove Forest. It’s about an hour’s drive from the city. We will take a boat to look for proboscis monkeys. Walking on the river, we saw crocodiles, proboscis monkeys, It feels like an adventure in the Amazon jungle. The fireflies at night are also amazing. The trees on both sides seem to be hung with small lights. Twinkling, romantic and healing. 📍University of Sabah: The campus is very large and you can arrange half a day to explore it. There is a pink mosque that is very photogenic and has a fresh feel. 📍Location: UMS Mosque In addition to the mosque, you can also visit the University of Sabah The swing on the beach, Positioning: UMS ODEC beach The clock tower and colorful staircase of the University of Sabah You can check in together and it’s also very photogenic. Positioning: UMS clock tower ------ ⚠️Game Tips: The overall accommodation conditions in Semporna Town are average. Just choose one that is closer to the pier. Basically, I just sleep and go island hopping during the day. When you go island hopping in Semporna, you must pay attention to sun protection. The best surfing suit is a long-sleeved shirt and long pants with sun protection. Otherwise, whatever you paint will turn out black! Don't ask me how I know. For shopping, you can go to Imago or Suria Sabah Shopping Mall on Gaya Street. There is a night market on Gaya Street on Saturdays and a market on Sunday mornings, where you can go for a stroll.

#freehotelstay Sabah is the state of Malaysia that located in the region of East Malaysia, right next to Sarawak and Brunei. This is the favourite state of mine out of all other states as there are full of natures here such as the tropical rainforests, animal and plants species. If you are visiting to the Sabah, no not miss out the capital city - Kota Kinabalu as Tanjung Aru beach here is a world-famous spot with the panoramic orange sunset and purple sky after the sunset. Other than that, Kundasang is one of the best place to visit to which is 2-4 hours away from KK by driving!! Mountains and rivers are surrounded where you can enjoy the chill weather here. Guangzhou cannot fly directly to Semporna, many people just use Kota Kinabalu as a transit without staying, but if you have enough time, remember to leave 1 day for a city walk in Kota Kinabalu. 🗺️My 4-day tour itinerary Day 1: Arrive in Kota Kinabalu➡️University of Sabah (Pink Mosque)➡️Floating Mosque➡️Tanjung Aru Beach➡️Gaya Street Night Market Day 2: Tawau➡️Jellyfish House Day 3: Island hopping (Mataking Line)➡️Semporna Town Day 4: Stroll around Semporna Town➡️Fly to Kota Kinabalu➡️Buy souvenirs at Gaya Street➡️Return to home country 🚗Most of the travel times between attractions in the city are about ten minutes, and it's very convenient to take a Grab taxi. 🌈University of Sabah 📍 Universiti Malaysia Sabah, if you only want to see the Pink Mosque, you can navigate to Mosque UMS 🎫10 MYR ⏰No entry after 17:30, the tour takes about 2-3 hours. Most people go straight to the Pink Mosque for a photo, but I think there are many places to visit on campus. 👍I highly recommend renting an electric skateboard, which is available at the ticket office, for 26 MYR ①The campus is large, and the skateboard is labor-saving. ②There is a dedicated lane, which is safe. ⚠️You will be given a tour map when you buy a ticket. The art gallery closes at 4 o'clock, remember to check the time. 💔The day I went was Friday, they were praying and we couldn't go inside the mosque for a visit, but it was great to take pictures outside. 🌈Floating Mosque 📍Kota Kinabalu City Mosque 🎫5 MYR for taking photos outside; if you want to visit inside, you need to rent clothes, 5 MYR ⏰No entry after 17:00 The blue and white color scheme + water reflection is very beautiful. Similarly, because of Friday prayers, I didn't go in. 🌈Tanjung Aru Beach 📍Tanjung Aru Beach The sunset is absolutely beautiful‼️It's now the rainy season, the weather is not very good, the clouds are thick, but you can still see the sun dyeing the sea pink. Even in the rainy season, you can imagine how beautiful the sunset clouds would be in summer. ⏰Check the sunset time in advance, there is a bit of traffic on the way to the beach ✅The view from the Sunset Bar at the nearby Shangri-La Hotel is very good, but you need to make a reservation 💔Although there are many tourists, it's not too bad, but there is a night market next door and there will be a smell of garbage 🌈Gaya Street Morning market: Sunday morning 6:00-12:00 Night market: Every Friday/Saturday 18:00-24:00 I only went to the night market, the snacks and juices are good. The egg yolk crab is not bad, suitable for Chinese taste. If you don't order lobster and pipi shrimp, the per capita cost is 150-200 MYR. ✅CFC Mongkok Restaurant on Gaya Street Next door is Yifeng Laksa, but it closes at 18:00, so I went to this restaurant temporarily. The laksa is okay, the durian shaved ice is great. A full cup, the ingredients are generous, and the taste is good. 🏠Accommodation Recommendations Hyatt Regency Hotel, more than 600 per night, can be directly booked on Ctrip.
