I drove around Lake Shirakaba 🚙 I got lost and ended up at Lake Megami 💦 But why is it such a nice place ✨✨ A quiet, small, and charming lakeside that is a little different from the bustling tourist spots of Shirakaba Resort 🦢 I was hungry, so I visited the well-reviewed soba restaurant "Sensui". 🥣 When I went inside, there were lots of autographs of famous people on display, and I was excited to see how good it would be, so I ordered the omakase vegetable tempura and zaru soba. The noodles were a little thin but had a good bite, and the tempura made with local vegetables was crispy and quite delicious 😋❣️ And the soba soup was the best I've ever had. Shirakaba Resort Ikenotaira Hotel reopened on April 22nd after a complete renovation. Located on the shores of Lake Shirakaba in Nagano Prefecture, the hotel offers spectacular views from the rooms, the large public bath, the restaurant, and many other places in the hotel. Even though there were many guests in the hotel, for some reason I never saw anyone in the large public bath. Maybe the key is to avoid peak meal times? It was so comfortable! We especially recommend the lakeside mixed bath Sora in the large public bath. The only open-air bath here is infinity. And the observation sauna where you can have the spectacular view all to yourself. It was absolutely amazing! It would be a shame to steer away because of the word "mixed bath"! After leaving the forest road, the road to the top of the mountain is all large rocks because there is no protection from the trees due to the strong wind, and the snow cannot accumulate.
