On May 5, the weather was fine, and the JR from Sapporo to Otaru was packed with people. We first arrived at Minami-Otaru Station, where the cherry blossoms outside the station had just begun to fall (Photos 14–16). We walked all the way to the shopping street and Otaru Canal. You can overlook the streetscape from the third-floor observation deck of LeTAO. Next was the highlight of the trip: Temiya Park. The sea and cherry blossoms set against the blue sky and white clouds were so beautiful, and you could even see snow-capped mountains in the distance 🏔

As I walked into the park, I was instantly greeted by an overwhelming sea of delicate pink petals, swaying gently against the backdrop of the vast, endless ocean.
