Changbai Mountain is located in northeast China. It is named for its perennial snow. Tianchi is the largest volcanic lake in China and the deepest alpine lake in the world. The average water depth is 204 meters, and it stores more than 2 billion cubic meters of fresh water. The winter of Changbai Mountain takes up a full 9 months. The top of the mountain is covered with snow all year round. The depth of snow is generally 50 centimeters. It is extremely difficult to climb Changbai Mountain in winter. Only in mid-July every year can the frozen Tianchi melt. There are only 30 days in a year to see the flowing water of Tianchi.
