Tiger leaping gorge is a amazing place to see and go. In between Lijiang and Shangri-La about 1.5hra drive, I got a tour as couldn't drive as a tourist and a taxi there is a bit much. The river is strong and powerful through this area making for a a spectacular sight, the place is busy with tourists but you have enough space to take a photo or videos of the river. There is a lot of steps down and back up I if you can't handle it, you can pay extra to use the escalator which I found strange to pay extra for, I walked it up, overall 1.5hrs there is enough but I could watch it all day.
