Spring in Alsace, France, a trip to the fairytale town of Ribeauvillé, a medieval romance bathed in spring light
#SpringTravel
In the heart of France's Alsace region, **Ribeauvillé** is a medieval town that looks like it came straight out of a fairy tale. In spring, the colorful wooden houses, flower-decorated window frames, and soft sunlight create an even more enchanting atmosphere.
🏰 Time travel to encounter the Middle Ages
As you walk along the cobblestone streets, you will come across quaint castles and Gothic churches. In particular, the stained glass of **Eglise Notre-Dame de Ribeauvillé** is a must-see!
🍇 Embracing the taste of Alsace, the land of wine
This town is the center of the Alsace wine route, and you can taste fragrant white wines such as **Riesling** and Gewürztraminer. Experience the warm hospitality of the locals while tasting wines at local wineries.
🥨 A delicious Alsatian gastronomy experience
• Traditional choucroute (pickled cabbage and sausage)
• Alsatian ham, tarte flambé!
In this small town, you can experience the real Alsace with all your senses.
🚶 Spring walk, peace beyond the vineyards
Walk along the vineyards in bloom or explore the nearby villages by bike. Ribeauville in spring will give you more peaceful and warm memories than any other season.

🚇Transportation strategy:
If you want to visit other small towns in Alsace, the best way to travel is to drive. Of course, there are also trains and buses between the towns.
⛪️Must-see attractions:
There are many alleys to explore in the whole town, and the scenery of each one is beautiful💗
Tour des Bouchers
The tower of the town is one of the landmarks. It is well-maintained and very beautiful under the blue sky and white clouds.
Ribeauvillé Town Hall
In the center of the town, there is a fountain in front of the building⛲️, and because of Christmas, the entire exterior of the town hall is full of decorations, sparkling in the sun🤩
🍳Must-eat food:
D'baecka Ofa Stub
Very cute restaurant, warm service staff, providing traditional Alsatian cuisine, the meals are evaluated but the portions are large, highly recommended 👍
🛒Shopping Guide:
There are many shops selling souvenirs and handmade crafts in the town, from cute postcards to various avian products, all very attractive. Please note that some shops only accept cash, so remember to exchange for Euros.
Ribeauville is a city in northeastern France. I visited during Christmas and the whole town was filled with a celebratory atmosphere, and the colorful houses made it very dreamy💕
Charming wine town ~ Ribeauville
After having lunch in Colmar, I took a bus to Ribeauville. Ribeauville is located in the Haut-Rhin department of France, at the foot of the Vosges Mountains with the Strengbach River flowing through it. It is one of the 188 member municipalities of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park. You can join a day tour to visit five small villages along the wine route in one day. The vast hills here are covered with vineyards, making it a famous wine region where you can taste wine🍷. I didn't join a tour group and took the bus to Ribeauville alone. However, you need to be mindful of the time because if you miss the last bus, there will be no more buses, and it's hard to get a taxi here. I only chose to walk around Ribeauville, as these wine towns are probably quite similar. Ribeauville is situated at the foot of the mountain, offering beautiful scenery.
The history of Ribeauville dates back to the time of Henry IV in 1084. The scenery here is pleasant, with many historical and cultural monuments. Until 2015, it was the most important political center in the Haut-Rhin department outside of Colmar.
