"A journey across the sea. A highlight of the Shimanami Kaido"]
— [Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge] is a huge suspension bridge with a total length of about 4 km, located at the starting point of the Shimanami Kaido on the Imabari side.
It is the world's first triple suspension bridge structure, and is a major artery that connects Imabari to Oshima in one go.
As you ride across it, the beauty of the Seto Inland Sea's many islands spreads out on both sides,
and below you can see the rough waves of the Kurushima Strait, one of Japan's three fastest tidal currents.
The sea, the wind, the sky, and the islands.
The more you go along the bridge, the more you realize, "Ah, I'm really crossing the sea now."

・Water and hats are essential in summer! Even if it's windy, the sun is strong.
・Sunny days are definitely recommended. If it's cloudy or foggy, the blue of the sea is greatly reduced.
