Bon Senga is a retro cafe and bakery we found in Toyohashi, Aichi. You can enjoy the bread and sweets you choose at the bakery at the cafe. The bread packaging is retro, and the cafe's decorations are also filled with a retro pop atmosphere. This time, we had Papillo (178 yen), Lemon Cookie (210 yen), and Iced Coffee (430 yen). The cafe space has three tables and six counter seats. Bon Senga was founded in 1912 as a confectionery wholesaler, and took on its current form in 1979. It's my first time here, but it feels nostalgic. This is a recommended retro pop cafe and bakery. Business hours are from 10:00 to 21:00 (subject to change). #AutumnTrip Japanese and Western sweets shop When you think of Toyohashi, you think of Pyrenees, so I went to Bon Toraya's main store. I was able to get a sticker during the store manager's event on the 1st. Pirene-san has just started working and will be the store manager on 10/1 and 10/2. Nonhoi Park is one of the few comprehensive parks in Japan that combines a zoo, a botanical garden, and a natural history museum. I stayed at the Loisir Hotel in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture. You can also use the parking lot for free. It seems to be an old hotel, and the faucets, showers, and other water features are somehow nostalgic. The price is low and the cost performance is good, so it can be said to be a value hotel. I went to Musashi Suisan, a fish restaurant in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. Each and every seafood is presented in a way that overturns your concept of sushi, and just looking at it is surprising! It's truly photogenic! Although it is currently not possible to do so due to the spread of the coronavirus, it seems that you can also experience horse mackerel fishing in the restaurant! Toyohashi curry udon! Toyohashi curry udon is made with rice, grated yam, curry udon, quail, and fukujinzuke or tsubozuke on the bottom. Kodomo Miraikan Kokoniko Located at 1 Matsuba-cho 3-chome, Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, it is a 10-minute walk from the east exit of Toyohashi Station. This facility provides children with the opportunity to grow up healthy through fun play and interactions with various people. The grass is green and sunflowers bloom in the summer. Yoshida Castle Located at 3 Imabashi-cho, Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, it is said to have been one of the important bases for the control of Mikawa during the early Sengoku period, and was the site of a battle between the Matsudaira and Imagawa clans. It is said to be the origin of modern reinforced concrete buildings in the city, and was designated a national registered tangible cultural property in 1998. Toyohashi Park A park in Imabashi-cho, Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, that is a symbol of Toyohashi and has many sports facilities such as the Yoshida Castle ruins, the Art Museum, Sannomaru Hall, softball and hardball tennis courts, an athletics stadium, a baseball field, and a martial arts hall. Yamasa Chikuwa Main Store 97 Uomachi, Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture Yamasa was founded in 1827 and manufactures and sells fish paste products such as chikuwa. Uomachi, Toyohashi City, used to be a bustling, lively fish market, and Yamasa Chikuwa started out as a fish wholesaler when it was first established. New products are released with each season, making it fun to choose something to take home or as a souvenir. #summertrip

[Kawashige] Kanagawa: 2 minutes walk from Kamakura Station | Shirasu bowl (¥ 1380) A quaint Japanese-style exterior in a good location just after entering Komachi Street. Soba seems to be a popular restaurant, but I ordered a shirasu bowl that I really wanted to eat, and it was very quick to serve. Comes with pickles, simmered dishes, and soup. When fried in a pot, the green onions were very good and I ate them in no time! !! There was also a women-only menu that included a mini bowl and soba, so I wanted to eat that too ... !!!! The interior is luxurious and clean, but it is a reasonable and easy-to-enter space ^ _ ^ * Closed on Tuesdays

Toyohashi is the center of the Mikawa Peninsula. In Toyohashi, where the Shinkansen also stops, there is a business hotel called Dormy Inn with a natural hot spring. If you walk straight down Hirokoji Street from Toyohashi Station, you will come to a main street where trams run, and the "Fudagi" tram stop will be right in front of you. Dormy Inn is located in front of the tram stop. Since it is located in the middle of the station and the main tourist area, it is very convenient and easy to access for sightseeing and meals. Speaking of Dormy Inn, it is also famous as a hotel where you can enjoy local gourmet food. At this hotel, you can enjoy local dishes such as Hitsumabushi, fried shrimp, and Nonhoi milk. All of them were very delicious! After taking a bath in the hot spring, you can also enjoy free ice cream and drinks after the bath, so you can be pampered. A hatago (Japanese inn) in Aichi Prefecture that gives a sense of the old Tokaido road The Futagawajuku Honjin, located near Shizuoka in Aichi Prefecture, is the remains of the Baba family, who served as the Honjin from Bunka 4 to Meiji 3. Through restoration work, the main house, entrance building, study building, and storehouse have been restored to their Edo period appearance, and the building, which would have been used as lodgings by feudal lords and nobles of that time to relax and unwind after their travels, is now open to the public. When I stopped by to take a look, there was an exhibition of May dolls. I was able to see a variety of splendid May dolls from ancient times to the present. The Japanese-style rooms, old kitchens, gardens, storehouses, and other places where feudal lords who would have come in processions to visit for alternate attendance and other purposes could relax and unwind from their travels. Even though it faces the street, the inside is quiet and time flows quietly, making you forget time for a while. With a total length of approximately 200 km and over 90 stations, it is one of the longest local lines in the country. In the section that runs along the Tenryu River, the flowing river and mountain scenery decorate the train window, and you can feel the nature of the Chubu mountain region up close. There are many small, secluded stations along the line, known as hidden stations, which are popular with railway fans. Originally a line that connected multiple private railway lines, the line still quietly welcomes travelers while supporting the local lifestyle.
