In the sunset of Zhaosu: horseback riding, laughter, and indulgence.
Last week, my partner and I visited the Mountain Island Starry Sky Camp in Zhaosu, embracing a carefree adventure! The grassland sunset was breathtakingly beautiful, and I just have to share it!
🌅 Chasing the sunset with joy:
As soon as we arrived in the afternoon, we dropped off our luggage and rushed out! Riding horses across the golden grassland, our shadows stretched long under the sunset, making us feel like movie stars (even though the horse walked quite steadily 😂).
Some friends tried archery 🎯—their skills weren’t great, but striking a pose with the bow made for some cool photos! The camp’s grassland motorbikes 🏍️ were super fun; racing up slopes against the wind brought endless laughter!
At sunset, the entire camp seemed gilded. We didn’t do anything but grab some chairs, sit in the camp, and watch the sun slowly sink. At that moment, it felt truly worthwhile.
🔥 Bonfire, starry skies, and hearty chicken:
As night fell, the camp lit a bonfire. Everyone gathered around, chatting and listening to music, with the firelight reflecting on smiling faces—it was such a great vibe! Looking up, stars quietly appeared. Although we didn’t see the Milky Way (due to the weather), it was still satisfying.
Dinner was provided by the camp! Special shoutout to the big plate chicken 🥘! Generous portions, tender chicken, potatoes soaked in flavorful broth, and paired with belt noodles—it was so delicious that our table finished it all in no time! Breakfast was buffet-style, with plenty of options to start the day warm and energized.
🚀 Staying in a "space capsule": cozy and unique:
We stayed in what’s called a space capsule, and it looked super cool! The best part was how unexpectedly comfortable it was inside!
Fully smart-equipped! You could control the lights and curtains (automatic curtain opening in the morning for scenic views was amazing), air conditioning (a lifesaver for chilly grassland nights!), and even the smart toilet with just your voice or phone.
The private bathroom had ample hot water, perfect for washing off the day’s dust with a relaxing shower. There was a projector for watching movies at night, which was delightful. The mattress was just the right firmness, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and even the hairdryer was a high-quality Laifen model with strong airflow.
Although the camp outside was full of wild charm, the room had all the comforts and conveniences you could ask for—this contrast was fantastic!
In summary:
This was a journey filled with laughter, stunning views, and satisfying meals! Riding horses and running wild in the sunset, chatting around the bonfire at night, and enjoying delicious big plate chicken brought back a sense of relaxation and joy I hadn’t felt in a long time.
