London | The Most Complete and Detailed Route for a Day Trip to the White Cliffs
| The most complete and detailed route for a day trip to the White Cliffs. This is the "end of the land" voted the most beautiful place in the UK by National Geographic.
It is the filming location of Jay Chou's "What's Wrong" MV.
It is also the romantic final scene in "Atonement."
This is the "Seven Sisters White Cliffs" on my bucket list.
Whether you are studying in the UK or traveling, you should come here at least once!
I made a lot of mistakes when I went there, so I have compiled the best route and guide for you👇
🚦Transportation
1️⃣ No matter where you start from, navigate to take the train 🚊 to Eastbourne Station (remember to buy an open return ticket, which is cheaper and you can leave at any time when you want to return).
2️⃣ Turn left out of the station and walk for 10 minutes, locate Eastbourne sightseeing, and take the double-decker sightseeing bus 🚌 (you can buy a round-trip ticket directly, £11/person, £8 for students) to the 8th stop: Belle Tout.
3️⃣ Walk to the edge of the cliff and you will see the red lighthouse. Walk to the right to the slope for better photos, and then keep walking along the edge of the cliff to the white lighthouse where there is a small shop where you can take a break 🏠.
4️⃣ Continue to the right and start going downhill. You can see the Seven Sisters White Cliffs. Finally, walk to the small house in Billing Gap, which is a coffee shop + souvenir shop ☕️.
5️⃣ There is a staircase here where you can go down to the beach to observe the white cliffs and black sand beach up close, and you can also look out over the English Channel 🌊.
6️⃣ Take a few steps forward to the right of the coffee shop to the bus stop, and continue to take the sightseeing bus back to Eastbourne. It is recommended to sit on the left side of the second floor, where you can see the whole city and many black-faced "Shaun the Sheep" 🐑.
7️⃣ Return the same way, take the train 🚆 back to London.
⚠️ I think this is the route with the least walking, the most convenient, and no backtracking. When I went there, I took the 12X bus myself, and it was really far to walk to Billing Gap.

White dresses or light-colored flowing clothes are the best for photos, followed by black. Too bright colors don't work well 👎. It's very windy, so try not to wear a hat 🧢.
The white cliffs are fragile and constantly collapsing, so don't get too close to the edge when taking photos, and don't jump around ❌. Don't go after November, the weather is bad and the grass is bald. Try to go in spring and summer when it is the most beautiful, with a matcha cake feel 🍵.
