#Lunar New Year's Day Travel My own private villa in the middle of the city, Seochon Byeoldang Another new hanok accommodation opened 6 minutes away from Gyeongbokgung Station. It's convenient to go there by walking or driving, so it's great. There are many delicious restaurants around the food alley, so it's a good place to rest for a day after enjoying a trip to Seoul. If you soak in the hot water in the jacuzzi on a cold day, you don't have to worry about the cold wave. It's just heaven right here 🫧 Seochon Hanoks are old houses, so they are often cold and have small spaces, but Seochon Byeoldang was really warm enough to be hot, not cold? This area has many art museums and galleries and is close to Gyeongbokgung Palace. The overall atmosphere makes people feel the ingenious fusion of ancient and modern times. It has both a profound sense of culture and exudes a modern artistic atmosphere. If you love visiting art galleries and museums, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) is a must-visit in this area. But I personally prefer the Sunjae Art Center, Daelim Art Museum and Kukje Gallery. These places have their own characteristics, and the artworks on display are often surprising and worth savoring slowly. / Itinerary: If it is your first time there, you can go to the London Bagel Museum or Artist Bakery in the morning to make an appointment and queue up. During the waiting time (normally about 1-2 hours), you can head towards Samcheong-dong to visit the art museum. It's really comfortable. The buildings and streets are beautiful. / After eating, you can choose to take the MRT or ride a scooter to Seochon (Gyeongbokgung Station). My favorite Seochon area is just a 15-minute walk from Gyeongbokgung Station. It's delightful to take a leisurely stroll and randomly pick a cafe to relax in. Apostrophe's Marlenka is actually a traditional Czech cake, rarely seen in regular cafes. It's quite dense and sweet, but worth a try. The bear-shaped affogato ice cream is recommended to be eaten with the accompanying olive oil for a completely different texture. Definitely worth a try. #JuneTravelSupport I stopped by Jos Lounge because I wanted to have at least one decent pair of pajamas. I was surprised by how sensual the space was to call it a ‘pajama store’. The store is decorated like a gallery, and the pajamas on display are all full of emotion 😮💨 What I especially liked was the material. When you actually touch it, the texture is definitely different from regular brands. It’s thin and soft, but it doesn’t get sloppy and the fit is perfect. There were also quite a variety of men’s pajamas, and there were many toned-down brown, cream, and navy colors, so it was comfortable to wear as everyday clothes. The price range is in the early to mid 100,000 won range for the basic set. It’s on the expensive side, but the quality is understandable when you try it on. The design is also timeless, so it seems like it’ll be good to wear for a long time. The staff at the store were also friendly and easy to deal with, so I was able to look around slowly. If you can’t give up your style even at home, this is a place you should visit at least once.

#JuneTravelSupport I went to JO’S LOUNGE because I thought comfortable clothes were the best these days! Since it’s a pajama specialty brand, the entire atmosphere was so cozy from the entrance. The natural tone interior and subtle scent made my heart melt as soon as I entered the store 😌 Maybe because it’s the summer season, the linen pajama sets really caught my eye, and I especially thought, ‘I have to buy this’ as soon as I tried on the Malibu shirt pajama set. The fabric is really soft, and the boxy fit covers my body shape and the style is pretty! The color is also luxurious, so I liked it so much that I felt bad wearing it at home. The price range is a bit high, but considering the quality of the material and the fit, it was acceptable. The staff was also friendly, and it was even better because they made the atmosphere comfortable so I could try it on and decide. I ended up buying one, and now I wear it almost every day hehe I cautiously recommend it to those who want to live comfortably without looking too fancy! 🧺✨

Visiting galleries has become one of my favorite activities ❤️ This time, I visited the exhibition by Warner at Groundseesaw Seochon, located in the Seochon area west of Gyeongbokgung Palace ✨ I had seen on social media that many Seoul locals were attending, so I was really looking forward to it ☺️ The artwork, with its three-dimensional and intricate details, along with the booth displays that captured the artist's world, were truly impressive. Although there were quite a few people, I still had a great time ❤️ I loved the colorful world and the monochrome world—it was amazing 🙌 The exhibition runs until September 14, so if you're visiting Seoul, be sure to check it out ✨

"I never realized such stunning scenery was so close by." This was the most quintessentially Seoul day I've ever had. From the tranquil and serene hanok streets to the Blue House, the former presidential office, this journey helped me rediscover Seoul within Seoul. ⸻ 1. Starting the Morning at Bukchon Hanok Village 🌿 The journey began at Anguk Station. Bukchon Hanok Village is at its most beautiful in the morning. Walking through the quiet streets during the less crowded hours feels like stepping into a time machine, immersing yourself in a peaceful and pristine atmosphere. As you climb the narrow alleys, you might find yourself slightly out of breath, but the view at the top is breathtakingly beautiful. One must-visit spot is the Gahoe-dong alley view, one of Bukchon’s eight scenic points, perfect for capturing photos. Walking carefully to preserve the quiet ambiance, even the sunlight streaming through the old hanok windows felt like a work of art. ⸻ 2. Strolling Over to Seochon 🍂 Next, I moved on to Seochon, a neighborhood with a distinctly different vibe from Bukchon. While Bukchon feels "neat and traditional," Seochon exudes a "natural and artistic" charm. Hidden among its alleys are small galleries, independent bookstores, and old-style cafes, making every step an exciting discovery. The traces of long-time residents could be felt in the alleys, and the whimsical emotions of artists were evident in the murals scattered throughout the streets. Lunch was a hearty traditional Korean meal at a local Seochon restaurant. ⸻ 3. Finally, Entering the Blue House 🇰🇷 After a satisfying meal, I headed to the Blue House for my reserved tour. Even after its opening to the public in 2022, it still feels surreal to walk through such a historically significant space. The expansive Nokjiwon garden and the main building were far more majestic and serene than they appear in photos. While the interior of the main building, the former presidential office, is off-limits, its exterior alone exudes a dignified atmosphere. Walking along the trails, you encounter places like the Chunchugwan, Yeongbingwan, and Chilgung, all deeply connected to Korea’s modern history. The view of Bukaksan Mountain extending from the Blue House is truly awe-inspiring.
