The cable car is 2070m long and last for around 12 minutes. The view from the ride is really lovely. When you get to the top, there is a view point as well as a coffee shop. This is definitely a must visit place when you visit Bosnia. The ticket price is 20Marks for return tickets. Day 1 – Old Town Highlights Sebil Fountain – Iconic wooden fountain, more symbolic than spectacular. Sacred Heart Cathedral – Beautiful stained glass & Sunday masses. Serbian Orthodox Cathedral – 19th-century church with classic architecture. Latin Bridge – Near the site where Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. Eternal Flame Monument – A WW2 memorial, usually lit (except on snowy days). Day 2 – Modern Views & Scenic Spots Avaz Twist Tower – Amazing 35th-floor city view, free entry; drinks available at regular prices (beer ~5 KM). Trebević Cable Car – Takes you up for panoramic views and a peaceful café break. (~20 KM roundtrip). War Museum 1992 – Small museum near the cable car. Interesting but not outstanding (10 KM entry). ⛪ Places We Missed (Due to Snow or Time) Tunnel of Hope – A must for history lovers; near the airport. Vrelo Bosne – Nature park, better suited for longer stays. White Fortress (Bijela Tabija) – Great views, especially at sunset.

📍Museum of crimes against humanity and genocide (1992-1995) Student KM12 (Credit card payment accepted) Exhibition on the genocide committed by Serbs against Bosniaks (Muslims) and non-Serbs during the Bosnian-Herzegovinian conflict. The cruel acts committed in each of the three camps. There were also many photos of bodies attacked by snipers and bodies piled up in a mass grave (a large hole made by a bulldozer). There are many extreme photos, but I thought that I should not turn my eyes away, so I looked at all the exhibits carefully. This kind of situation is still happening somewhere, so it is not something that only happens to other people. Also, 2 million landmines and unexploded ordnance were confirmed by 1996, and 9 people were killed in 2011. There are still some sites on the outskirts with a skull and the word danger written on them. In the center of Sarajevo there is a road known as Sniper Street. Nowadays, trams run peacefully along it, but back then, people never knew when an attack would come, and anything that moved was targeted by Serbian snipers hiding in tall buildings. The watchword to warn people was "PAZI SNAJPER (Watch out, it's a sniper)." 📍Baščaršija In Sarajevo, Bosnia, we went to the old town of Basčaršija. This is the commercial district from the Ottoman Empire. The name "čaršija", which is also found in Stara Çaršija in North Macedonia, comes from the Turkish word çarşı (market). It is famous for its metal and copper products, and the sound of metal being hammered can be heard from nowhere. There are many souvenirs lined up, including metal and copper products, Turkish lamps and oil-based products, and you will be enchanted by their beauty...⚱️ There are some counterfeits among them, but they are cheap, so it might be a good idea to buy a metal spoon as a souvenir, knowing that. 😽 There were almost no touts, so I was able to tour the souvenir shops in relative silence! #AbsolutelyFreeTrip

📍War Childhood Museum Based on a book published by Jasmine Halilovic, a writer from Sarajevo, this museum exhibits memorabilia from children who lived during wartime, along with their stories. Before entering the exhibition, there is a space to look back on your childhood, and you can feel how peaceful your days were. During wartime, of course, you can't go to school properly, and you can't buy toys, so it's hard to see the children playing with existing toys and tools, believing that the war will end soon. The museum is filled with the thoughts and memories of children who never lost a little hope in various war zones such as Gaza, Ukraine, and Bosnia.
