🇹🇷【Turkey】A pretty small airport! Nevsehir Airport ●An airport so small that it's almost too small ●Pick-ups and drop-offs must be booked in advance ●Delay rates are too high ●There is only one convenience store It's a really small airport. When you arrive at the airport and go through the automatic doors, you will immediately go through a simple baggage inspection (3rd photo), and after passing through the baggage inspection, there will be a check-in counter at the back left (4th photo), and there are only two gates. Looking back, there is one convenience store (5th photo), and by the way, this is the only store! ! ! ! After checking in your luggage at the check-in counter, you will wait on a chair in front of the check-in counter until the security check opens (^^) When you go through the security check to get to gate 1, there is only one gate, so everyone is on the same plane✈️ You will board the plane that is just a short walk away from the automatic doors I used it for a domestic flight (Nevsehir → Istanbul) I arrived at the airport about 2 hours early, but I had too much time. By the way, it takes about an hour to get there by shuttle bus from downtown Goreme. When reserving your shuttle, it's best to tell them what time you want to arrive at the airport (^^) You can have your hotel make the reservation for you. ●Book your shuttle in advance!!! It's especially important to reserve your arrival shuttle!!! It's a really empty airport. After arriving, when I left the exit, there was only the shuttle driver to be seen. ●The delay rate is too high I used Istanbul ↔︎ Nevsehir Airport and was delayed both on the way there and back. My friend was delayed 15 hours and had to wait until the next day at the airport. There have been several reports of delays from other people. So I recommend that you plan your trip with plenty of time. #Let's go abroad

I looked up how to get to Goreme after landing at Nevsehir Airport, and it seemed like most people were using hotel or travel agency pickups, so I was worried about how to get there without a reservation. But there was a dolmusi that went to Goreme right in front of the airport! It was 250 lira, much cheaper than the 10-15 euros I asked at my accommodation. Like other pickups, they dropped me off right in front of my accommodation. #April travel support fund

Nevsehir Airport. I took Turkish Airlines to Nevsehir Airport to go to Goreme, Cappadocia. The small airport is convenient because there is only one line for luggage. The in-flight meal is a simple cheese sandwich and orange juice. #April travel support fund

#traveldiaries Most people will go cappadocia when they visit Turkey. Cappadocia nearest airport is Nevsehir Kapadokya Airport NAV. The airport is really small and most of the time, people will take Turkish airlines. Delay of the flight is common so I recommend to keep track of the flight timing one day before and on the day before very closely. There is a really small waiting area and hence if it is really crowded, people dont have seats. Also don't expect a lounge in the airport. It is good to turn up early but you will be waiting for quite a while before boarding. There is only one small shop selling souvenirs which are more expensive than goreme. So get your souvenirs before heading to the airport!

This airport can be used for sightseeing in Cappadocia and Göreme. The airport is quite far from the town of Göreme, so we recommend reserving a bus in advance. Taxis are also available, but they cost nearly 10,000 yen.
