Christmas in Vigo 2022
Christmas in Vigo is an important celebration, as in this region of Spain the holidays are a serious matter.
From the street lighting in the city to the Christmas Markets, to the Ferris wheel and the decorative figures distributed over several streets, there is a lot to see and do in Vigo at this time of year.
We had an amazing time there.

Galicia, live Spain like a local
Getting There - I personally took a flight to Porto and then I local bus to Vigo, the bus took just a couple of hours and was cheap. You can also fly direct or hire a car.
Attractions - there are so many unique and small things to do and my best recommendation would be to find a local tour guide. Everything from free hot springs, mountain top restaurants, football stadiums and more.
Hotels - There are many smaller hotels in this area, which I'd recommend as they're cheaper and are often run by locals.
Food & Restaurants - Spanish meals are eaten late, never forget. The most delicious seafood you'll ever eat. Portuguese food is much heavier and meatier.

Nature Resort
Make way for Compostela’s newest attraction!
Cascades Nature Park is a perfect mix of scenic natural landscapes and high-end amenities. Taking pride as Compostela’s largest outdoor venue for practically any event you can think of, Cascades Nature Park sure is gonna give your dream event a green touch.
They just had their soft opening last September 15, 2020, and while some of their amenities are still being finished, their pool and lake are already available for use.
Cascades Nature Park can cater to any large event – garden-themed weddings and reception, team buildings, concerts, debuts, and photoshoots – you name it! Over 6 hectares in size, Cascades Nature Park has a lot of amenities.
This includes an islet located in the center of a lake (perfect spot for exchanging of vows). You can go fishing in the lake or rent out a kayak, paddle board, canoe, or a pedal boat. They also have a 600-square meter swimming pool (one of the largest in Cebu) for pool lovers.

The train that takes you across Spain from Camp Tarragona to Vigo Guixar
Did you know? You can take a train from the northwest to the northeast of Spain for 28 euros. This train departs from Barcelona Sants and passes through Camp Tarragona, Lérida Zaragoza, León, etc., about a dozen stations, and finally arrives at Vigo Guixar. On the train, you can also see the scenery of different regions in Spain. Of course, the reason why it is cheap is that it is not an express train. The 13-hour journey may discourage many people, but fortunately you can move around on the train, so if you are on a limited budget and are not in a hurry, then this will be a very affordable choice.

#summerdestinations come to #vigo this summer! I went to Vigo for 2 weeks, it's an incredible city with beautiful surroundings. it's located in the #riasbaixas which means lower bays, in #galicia , North West of #spain . the temperature here in summer is perfect, around 25-30℃ and refreshing at night, no need air-con. it's a medium size city for Spain with beautiful old town and city centre. but the most beautiful is around the city: incredible white sandy beaches with clean refreshing water, lush forest parks in the surrounding hills with breathtaking views of the bay and the city, rivers with pools and beautiful small towns nearby. visit #samilabeach , #muiños do folon , #bayona . you will want to come back every year!
