Nature’s Own Theme Park of Rocks

#summervacay Okay, this place is straight-up magical. Ciudad Encantada, or "The Enchanted City," is like walking through a fantasy movie set—but made entirely by nature. You’re basically wandering through a maze of gigantic limestone rocks that have been carved into wild shapes over millions of years. One looks like a mushroom, another like a turtle, and there’s even one that straight-up looks like a giant bear. You half-expect to see fairies fluttering around. The trail is super chill, about 3km and easy to follow, so even if you’re not big on hiking, this is doable. Plus, there are signs explaining each rock formation, and some of the names are hilarious. It’s fun trying to guess what shape the rock is before reading the sign. Bring snacks, wear decent shoes, and don’t forget your camera, this place is Instagram gold. Honestly, Ciudad Encantada is one of those “how is this even real?” kind of places. Definitely worth the stop if you’re anywhere near Cuenca!
