Chamonix paragliding and Montanvers, Mer de Glace

I tried paragliding in Chamonix. I booked the reservation site the day before, looking at the weather. The price was about 260,000 won, and I paid 30 euros for the photo and video shooting. Originally, paragliding was done at the Verban Observatory, but the cable car to the Verban Observatory was closed, so I did paragliding at Plandimmie, or Aiguille Midi Transfer Station. There was a separate paragliding area. I think it was maintained because the cable car is closed seasonally. I glided for about 30 minutes. The teacher said that I was light, so I flew for about 5 minutes longer. I also paraglided in Interlaken, but paragliding in Chamonix was better. Interlaken has a lake view, but Chamonix has a mountain view that is no joke. The paragliding landing area is right next to QC terme. The landing pad is far from the city center, so you have to walk a bit, but if you walk along the river that runs through Chamonix, you can quickly arrive at the hotel where I am staying. In fact, paragliding was not a planned trip. When I arrived in Chamonix, many people were paragliding, so I hurriedly made a reservation after seeing them. Fortunately, there was one spot left, so I was able to experience paragliding in Chamonix. This is one of the places you must visit when you come to Chamonix. It is Mer de Glace. Unlike other observatories, you can go there via a mountain train, so it is more leisurely and you can climb up to the observatory through nature. If you take the mountain train, always sit on the left. The view in that direction is really great. The Mer de Glace observatory is where the glacier used to be. In the past, the glacier was high, but now due to global warming, the glacier has almost melted, so it is difficult to see the glacier with the naked eye unless you get close. Of course, you can take a cable car that goes up to the ice cave, but I do not recommend it. Because everything looks great from afar After coming down from the Mer de Glace observatory, I ate fondue. There are several fondue restaurants in Chamonix, but to be honest, they are all the same. Just go to a place that is a little more friendly and cheap. It was my first time eating fondue, and the meat was very salty. The bread and potatoes tasted really good with the cheese. Chamonix is ​​a really small town. If the weather had been clear, I think I would have gone to both Montanvers and Aiguille-d'Emidi in one day. However, the weather was cloudy, so I divided my trip into one day for Montanvers and one day for Aiguille-d'Emidi. I think that dividing your schedule like this is good for your physical strength. Aiguille-d'Emidi is a higher altitude area than I thought, so altitude sickness is strong, and you won't be able to recover for a while after coming down.
