🌿 Review: Mae Ya Waterfall – The sound of water that awakens the heart

#ChiangmaiTravel ⸻ One day, Bear just wanted to be close to nature. So I drove from Chiang Mai down to Chom Thong quietly. Not far from Wat Phra That Si Chom Thong, there was a path that turned into a green forest. The destination was “Mae Ya Waterfall” – a waterfall that is known as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Thailand. ⸻ 🚗 Directions to Mae Ya: The asphalt road cuts through the forest. The entrance to the waterfall is quite good. There is a convenient parking lot. From the parking lot, De had to walk for another 500 meters. It is a quiet forest path. The sound of insects, wind, and the smell of soil after the rain calmed the heart. It was like “warming up the heart” before finding the big gift waiting ahead. ⸻ 💦 Mae Ya appeared. The sound of water began to be heard from a distance. When walking past the tree line… Mae Ya Waterfall appeared in front of me. A large amount of water flowed down in more than 30 layers, about 260 meters high. The water mist spread throughout the air. The sunlight reflected on the small drops until they looked like glass mist. Bear stood and watched quietly. Didn't rush to take a picture. Didn't say anything to anyone Just know that... My heart was washed away with the water ⸻ 📸 The angle that Bear likes to take pictures: • The lowest angle, looking back up, see the water flowing like a dream • The angle with rocks to sit and rest under the tree, waiting for the water mist to lightly touch my face • The angle with a rainbow that appears when the light is just right (but it doesn't last long!) ⸻ 🧺 If you have enough time... • The area around the waterfall has a tent area, it's quiet, clean and safe • There are bathrooms and staff to take care of it, quite reassuring • Go early in the morning to get good light, less people and hear the sounds of nature clearly ⸻ 🍃 Feelings after that: Bear didn't just see the waterfall But it's like meeting myself again - a version that doesn't have to be good, doesn't have to rush Just satisfied to be still beside the water that doesn't have to explain anything
