Fort William Daily Life｜Watching trains, eating fish and chips, and falling in love with the Scottish Highlands

#AprilGoodDestinations2025 #Scotland Fort William is a stop that Harry Potter fans cannot miss. The Jacobite steam train departing from here will pass through the famous scene in the movie - Glenfinnan Viaduct, which is the scene where the Hogwarts train runs in the movie. Although I didn't get on the train, I arrived at the train station early to wait just to see it leave the platform with my own eyes. 🚂 Smoke, whistle, old red carriage... the moment the train started, it seemed as if time had gone back a hundred years. After leaving the station, I walked down Main Street to find the popular fried fish shop in town (you’ll definitely be drawn in by the smell 😂). I ordered a standard fish & chips, which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and you could hear the "crunch" sound with every bite. Fort William is not big, but it has a relaxing magic. There is not too much travel pressure, and there is no need to check in at tourist attractions. You can just sit by the lake and watch the changing lights, or watch the kids chasing ducks, or you can eat fried fish while waiting for a train like I did.
