Mount Fuji & Surroundings: A Scenic Tour from Kawaguchiko to Oshino Hakkai! 🗻💧

#summervacay Exploring the area around Mount Fuji offers a blend of stunning lake and mountain scenery. Beyond Lake Kawaguchiko, you can also visit nearby Lake Motosuko, Lake Saiko, and Aokigahara Forest for a comprehensive tour. There are plenty of camping sites available if you plan to stay longer and fully soak in the fresh air and beautiful landscape. From Lake Kawaguchiko, it's about a 15-minute drive to the Lawson convenience store that became famous for its iconic view of Mount Fuji. However, for a clear shot of the mountain, you absolutely need sunny weather. On my cloudy day, it was incredibly difficult to see Fuji's full glory; only occasionally did the clouds part for a brief glimpse. Also, note that the infamous "black screen" has now been removed. After leaving Lawson, I set my navigation to the Nichikawa Clock Shop, which leads to the well-known street offering a fantastic view of Mount Fuji. Since I arrived early, there was hardly anyone around and very few cars, making it perfect for photos. The "Heavenly Ladder Town" is also nearby. My final stop was Oshino Hakkai. This is a free attraction and surprisingly uncrowded. The water here is incredibly clear; one pond is even 8 meters deep and quite a sight to behold!
