Historic Streets of Kawaramachi in Gifu

This time, let me introduce Kawaramachi, located in Gifu City! This area retains traditional houses, many of which have been renovated into charming cafes and restaurants. Situated along the Nagara River, the area is well-maintained, incredibly picturesque, and relatively quiet, making it a hidden gem worth visiting! I enjoyed a chilled tanuki soba during my visit! Next to the restaurant, there were shops selling traditional crafts. Although the area isn’t very large, it’s a perfect spot to explore alongside attractions like Gifu Castle.
