Tokushima Zero Waste Center

I visited the 'Kamikatsu Zero Waste Center' in Kamikatsu Town, Tokushima! 📍 7-2 Shimohira, Fukuhara, Kamikatsu-cho, Katsuura-gun, Tokushima Prefecture This place has been featured in architectural magazines and Nikkei Architecture, and I've always wanted to visit. I even participated in a study tour. The main feature of this complex is the town's waste station! Originally, it was a place for open burning and incinerators. Now, even though it's a waste collection site, only a small portion of the waste is landfilled or incinerated. Most of it is recycled, and items that can still be used can be taken home! There is also a reuse shop called Kurukuru Shop! While only town residents can bring items in, anyone from outside the town can take items home for reuse!
