It’s a beautiful spot to rest, snack, or even turn around if you're looking for a shorter hike. But if you're ready for a challenge, the real adventure starts from here. I'm not joking! The climb to Sarrail Ridge is steep and extremely hard. Hiking shoes are a must!!! I made this mistake but never again. Also, be prepared to climb the rope! As you gain elevation, the view opens up dramatically. When you finally reach the ridge, the view of Upper and Lower Kananaskis Lakes far below is jaw-dropping. It's the kind of summit that makes you forget how tired you are.
