Moss Garden Temple

#springitinerary It’s tucked away in this peaceful little village called Ohara, just outside Kyoto, and honestly, the vibe is pure magic. The temple itself is beautiful, sure, but the real star is the garden. Moss everywhere. Like, soft, green, dreamy moss that looks like it came out of a Studio Ghibli movie. There are these cute little stone Buddha statues peeking out of the moss, and the whole place is surrounded by tall cedars, so it feels like a forest hideout. You can sit inside the temple, sip some tea, and just stare out at the garden in total silence, it’s the chillest moment ever. It’s not super touristy, so it feels like your own little escape. Perfect for a slow day when you want to get out of the city and breathe fresh mountain air. Quiet, calm, mossy bliss. Total zen vibes.
