A Sunny Trek to Kifune Shrine: Worth the Walk? ☀️⛩️

#summervacay Today was another scorching hot day in Kyoto! I arrived at Kibuneguchi by bus and saw a crowd waiting for the next one. I decided to just walk up to the shrine instead. It was about a 2-kilometer walk, taking me over half an hour. Along the way, I grabbed a bowl of small yellow fish noodles – the taste was pretty average, but the scenery was lovely. Kifune Shrine itself is quite small. If you haven't been before, it's worth a single visit just to see it. I bought two omamori (charms) for ¥2,000, and I was done exploring in about half an hour. By then, my legs were tired, so I took a bus and then the subway back to the city center.
