🪿 Summer Stream Trekking Plan | Liyang | Shenxijie Village

The moment you follow the mountain road into Shenxijie Village, you’ll be gently embraced by lush greenery— (After passing the Hayao Miyazaki-inspired mural, turn into the village and walk 100m to reach the small steps in pics 4️⃣5️⃣, perfect for stream trekking and watching ducks swim 🦆) 🌳 Ancient trees at the village entrance hold the secrets of time. Three 500-year-old Chinese hackberry trees stand tall and leafy, so thick it takes several people to wrap their arms around them! Bamboo chairs and tables are placed under the trees—sit down and enjoy a bowl of freshly made black rice by the villagers, watching elderly ladies chat while waving palm-leaf fans. Wooden boardwalks along the stream are perfect for a stroll, and around the corner, you’ll find a small shop selling dried bamboo shoots. These two attractions are very close, allowing for a seamless visit. 💡 Tips: Wear non-slip shoes! The rocks by the stream are slippery.
