Fairytale Town on Lake Como

#summervacay Varenna might just be the cutest little town I’ve ever stepped foot in. Like seriously, it looks like it was made for postcards or a Netflix rom-com. Right on the edge of Lake Como in Lombardy, this place is all colorful buildings, cobblestone streets, and unreal views every two steps. We took the ferry in and were instantly obsessed. The vibe here is way more low-key than Bellagio, which makes it perfect if you just wanna wander, grab gelato, and not fight for photo spots. The lakeside promenade is super dreamy, and the old stone steps leading up through the town? Total fairytale energy. We checked out Villa Monastero too, beautiful gardens, chill lake views, and just the right amount of “I’m pretending I live here” feels. If you're heading to Lake Como and want a peaceful, picture-perfect stop that still feels authentic, Varenna is it. No stress, all charm. Just pure Italian magic.
