Entering Guanxi Xinwei｜Memories in time

The first time I saw Guanxi Xinwei was in the early morning when it was about to rain. The gray-white walls of the courtyard house were stained by water vapor, and the whole building seemed to have grown out of the clouds. It is said that it took 29 years to build. From a high vantage point, it is a standard square with tall watchtowers at the four corners, giving off a silent but firm sense of security. Walking inside, you can feel the sense of "a big family once lived together here" - the long bluestone alley, the incense stand in front of the ancestral hall, and the black marks left in the corner of the kitchen wall.
