On the way to Milford Sound, we stopped by Mirror Lake. True to its name, the tranquil surface of the water perfectly reflects the mountains and sky, creating a scene that feels 'more real than reality.' In the early morning, amidst the stillness with not a breath of wind, a world of perfect symmetry unfolded before our eyes. Gazing at the water, which mirrored every cloud and tree with such clarity, the reflected scenery seemed even more vivid than the actual landscape. The sound of footsteps fades, and time in nature flows slowly. While photos can't fully capture its beauty, seeing it in person leaves you in awe. If you're driving to Milford Sound, make sure to stop and take a short walk here. It's just a five-minute stroll, but the impression it leaves lingers much longer.
