A series of dazzling views, a complete conquest of New Zealand's South Island

#JulyTravelSupport The South Island of New Zealand was a series of breathtaking scenery from beginning to end. The scenery seen from Christchurch and across the Canterbury Plains was pastoral itself. The harmony created by the flocks of sheep dotting the green fields and the endless mountain slopes was difficult to express in words. As its name suggests, Mirror Lakes was a place with intense static beauty. The Southern Alps reflected on the windless lakes were clearer than in the photo, and in that silence, I could feel the majesty of nature with my whole body. Although it was a short walk, it was one of the most memorable moments during my trip to New Zealand. The Homer Tunnel that followed was impressive in itself, but Milford Sound, which I arrived at after passing through the tunnel, was definitely the highlight of this trip. As expected from the center of Fjord National Park, dramatic nature unfolded. A waterfall pouring down from a cliff, a cruise gliding across the water, and even sea lions and dolphins that suddenly appeared… It felt like I was actually starring in a nature documentary, not just a simple tour. Even on the way back, I didn’t have time to get tired because of the spectacular views.
