Nice, a city full of Mediterranean light and scents

#July Travel Support Fund Nice was the city where you could feel the emotions of the South of France the best. The deep blue Mediterranean Sea and warm sunlight that spread out before your eyes, and the scenery created by the red roofs and pastel-toned buildings were romantic at first glance. The first place I visited was Promenade des Anglais, a coastal promenade that is a symbol of Nice. As I walked along the long road next to the sea, I was accompanied by the soft wind and the sound of waves, and the sight of people sitting leisurely showed the slow pace of this city. The alleys of the Old Town (Vinis) were another charm of Nice. Yellow and orange buildings lined the narrow and winding alleys, and small cafes and shops welcomed travelers. In particular, the Cours Saleya Market was filled with the scent of fresh fruits, flowers, and herbs, allowing me to experience the daily lives of the locals. When I climbed up to the Colline du Château observation deck on the hill, I could see the Nice beach and the old town at a glance. The scenery where the sea and sky are connected was truly picturesque, and the moment when the sunset dyed the Mediterranean Sea was an unforgettable scene. At the end, I finished the day by enjoying a seafood platter and rose wine at a beachside restaurant.
