Dongqian Lake Flower Sea, our backyard!

The flower sea at Dongqian Lake in Ningbo is truly stunning! First, let's talk about the scenery. In spring, Dongqian Lake Flower Sea becomes a sea of flowers. Large patches of tulips compete for beauty, with red like fire, pink like clouds, and yellow like gold, creating a colorful scene as if a painter accidentally spilled a palette. Rapeseed flowers are not to be outdone, with a golden expanse shining under the sun, and a gentle breeze creating golden waves. Lavender, with its dreamy purple flowers swaying in the wind, emits a charming fragrance, making you feel like you're in the romantic Provence. Besides these, there are various flowers whose names are unknown, intertwining to form beautiful paintings. Walking along the paths in the flower sea feels like entering a fairy tale world. Surrounded by rolling green mountains reflected in the clear lake, the scenery is breathtaking. Distant villages appear faintly, with smoke rising, adding a touch of tranquility to the flower sea. There are many attractions nearby. Qianhu Secret Realm is a must-visit, with a stunning sea of iris flowers. At the end of April each year, magenta, purple, and white irises bloom in patches, appearing particularly brilliant amidst the lake and mountains, like stepping into a real-life Monet's garden. There are two small cafes by the flower sea, where you can enjoy coffee while watching the flowers sway, feeling very relaxed. There's also Lushan Tea Garden, with the lake to the south and Lushan to the north, and a hidden tea pavilion halfway up the mountain. Standing on the tea mountain, you can see a sea of green tea and the fresh spring scenery of Dongqian Lake. Erlin Zen Temple is also worth a visit, nestled by the mountains and water. At sunset, the sunlight slants on Erlin Pagoda, reflecting in the lake, creating the beautiful scene of "Erlin Sunset." Local food is not to be missed. Ningbo Tangyuan is famous, with a soft and glutinous outer layer wrapping sweet filling, and a bite releases a sweet taste in your mouth. Ningbo seafood is also a must-try, with Dongqian Lake near the sea, offering fresh seafood like steamed grouper, braised hairtail, and boiled shrimp, each dish leaving a lasting impression. Additionally, Mazi is a local snack, sweet and chewy. There are some things to note when visiting. It's best to visit the flower sea in the early morning or evening when the light is soft, and the photos turn out best. Also, the temperature difference in spring is significant, so bring a jacket to avoid catching a cold. If driving, check the parking lot location in advance to avoid the embarrassment of not finding a parking space. While enjoying the scenery, remember to protect the flowers and plants and avoid trampling them.
