Nuremberg Half-Day City Walk Route

Nuremberg (Nürnberg) is the second-largest city in Bavaria, Germany. It even has a subway system, but most of the time, we just explore the Old Town on foot. 🚶Nuremberg no-backtracking city walk route: Nuremberg Castle ➠ Albrecht Dürer's House ➠ St. Sebaldus Church ➠ Beautiful Fountain ➠ Church of Our Lady ➠ Nuremberg Main Market ➠ St. Lorenz Church ➠ Handwerkerhof ➠ Marriage Carousel Fountain Some tips: 1️⃣ From the castle, you can overlook Nuremberg with a great view. 2️⃣ Entry to the churches is free. 3️⃣ The Beautiful Fountain is a landmark building, more like an exquisitely carved memorial tower. 4️⃣ Next to St. Sebaldus Church is the Nuremberg Toy Museum. I didn’t visit it, but for those interested in toys, it’s worth checking out since Nuremberg is known as the "Toy Capital of the World." 5️⃣ The streets of Handwerkerhof are the most beautiful (as shown in the first photo). 6️⃣ The Marriage Carousel Fountain is a bold and unique sculpture that satirizes marriage. 7️⃣ For dining, you can try Goldenes Posthorn, a Lonely Planet-recommended authentic German restaurant. It’s mostly frequented by locals, and the food is quite good.
