Best of all, there’s no entrance fee, so you can enjoy the scenery without any added cost. The pool is set against dramatic cliffs and offers amazing views of the ocean. The contrast of the rugged lava formations with the crashing waves is breathtaking. Although it’s not always safe to swim here due to strong currents, it’s a great spot for photos and enjoying the raw beauty of Icelandic nature. Nearby, you can check out the Krýsuvík geothermal area and its bubbling hot springs or take a scenic drive along the coastal roads.
