Arriving around 5 PM via subway from Linton Road, it was just a short walk before the iconic “Qili Shantang” sign greeted us. The bridge was packed with photo-takers—I honestly feared getting shoved off! For fun, I bought a traditional round fan under the bridge for ¥11 (how much did yours cost? 😳). Then we squeezed through the bustling crowd to the boat ticket counter and waited just five minutes before boarding a pleasantly air-conditioned cruise. Floating along narrow canals beneath stone bridges, with classic houses lining the banks, truly felt like stepping into a painting.
