Xinjiang Yili｜Tekes County Homestay Recommendation

Tekes Bagua City·Tekes Stayed at an amazing homestay in Yili this June—highly recommend it! Here’s my experience for reference. ⛲️ Purple House Courtyard Homestay This is a super high-quality homestay, one of the best in Tekes. It feels like staying in a wealthy family’s villa, with unique decor. The courtyard has a tea room with floor-to-ceiling windows, displaying various tea sets and artworks. There’s also a huge koi pond with uniquely shaped pine trees in the middle. Sitting by the pond sipping tea is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. We arrived late at night, but the staff greeted us at the gate, helped with luggage, and showed us to our room. To avoid a long check-in wait, the butler took us straight to the room and later brought our IDs to us. Entering the room, we found fresh apricots and pastries on the table—such a warm touch, especially since we were hungry after the late arrival. The next day, we lounged in the courtyard, drinking tea and taking photos—so comfortable! Just as we sat down, the butler brought over tea and a fruit platter with local dried nuts, fresh melon, and delicious unfamiliar snacks. Unbelievably thoughtful! They also provide three free meals daily (lunch at 1 PM). The butler even arranged a late checkout so we could enjoy lunch before leaving. So touching! 🥲 If you’re unsure where to stay in Tekes, I strongly recommend Purple House Homestay—great environment, excellent service, and fantastic value for money (it had just opened when we stayed, so prices were reasonable). The only thing: it’s tucked away in an alley. About 200 meters in, you might think you’re lost, but once you arrive—wow, it’s a hidden gem! The initial confusion just adds to the surprise.
