🍜The taste of Okinawa hidden in the countryside! A warm meal at Shimasoba

The small sign with the red tile roof looks low-key on the outside, but it is full of local popularity inside. As soon as I entered the door, I was attracted by the warm wooden floor and the Japanese tatami floor sitting dining space. Almost every table is occupied by locals. It seems that this is a famous local restaurant with many regular customers. The staff is very friendly, the menu has pictures to help, and ordering is very friendly to tourists. I ordered the signature large bowl of soba noodles (¥850), the soup uses bonito broth, which is refreshing and not greasy. The three pieces of tender braised meat almost melt in the mouth, and the noodles are a bit coarse and chewy; my friend chose vegetable soba noodles (¥900), with stir-fried vegetables on the top of the soup noodles. The soup is salty and fragrant but not too salty, and the overall texture is rich. In addition, I ordered a rice ball (¥100), which is small and cute, and the small plate with a rabbit pattern is healing. Although the taste is standard, it is impeccable as a snack. I also accidentally ordered an extra piece of braised meat (¥200), which was unexpectedly fragrant and tender, which was also a good mistake. The final checkout totaled ¥2050, and only cash is accepted. When I left, there was already a queue, but fortunately we arrived a step earlier. If I come to Okinawa next time, I will definitely visit this "島そば" again.
