Just a half-hour train ride from the capital, it's the perfect place to slow down and really feel the city's pulse. Here are some delightful corners I didn't get to mention last time: Dom Tower & Dom Church ⛪ Standing tall (literally!) are the Dom Tower and Dom Church. The Dom Tower is the highest church tower in the Netherlands, offering panoramic views of Utrecht from its summit. What's fascinating is that the church and tower were once connected, but a fierce storm in 1674 destroyed the nave, leaving them romantically separated by time. DomUnder: A Journey Beneath the City ⏳ For history buffs, the DomUnder experience is a must! Dive in and immerse yourself in the underground world of ancient Roman ruins and the traces left by that historic storm. It's like stepping back 2,000 years in a single moment! Lebowski Bar: A Cinematic Evening 🎬 When night falls, make your way to Lebowski Bar right beneath the Dom Tower. It has a wonderfully "cinematic" atmosphere. With the evening breeze and the soft murmurs of locals, it's one of my favorite nighttime scenes in all of the Netherlands. 🥂 Miffy Fans, Take Note! 🐰 Just a short walk away is an incredibly cute Miffy souvenir shop! It's packed with merchandise designed by local Utrecht artists. Even if you don't buy anything, it's worth a visit for a photo op! 📸 Utrecht University's Main Building 🎓 The main building of Utrecht University is also right here, on one side of Dom Square.
