Today marks my last day in Nalati, so I'm treating myself to a lazy day off. Naturally, I chose a scenic homestay to relax all day—exploring the town's food spots by day and enjoying views of Nalati's Aerial Grassland right from my room at night. With windows 🪟 framing the mountains and a garden bursting with colorful flowers and fresh produce, evenings here are pure bliss—lounging on the homestay's rocking chair, gazing at the fields and distant horizons. Absolute perfection! Town eateries are half the price of scenic area restaurants. Here's my 7-day, 6-night food guide—pick what suits you: ① Gulanbao Restaurant: Their Xinjiang-style beef hand-pulled rice is delicious. ② Suye Danggui Homestay: Their rice 🍚 and stir-fries are exceptional. ③ Jiangna Yunchen Family Banquet (Nalati branch): Spinach tofu soup is a must-try, and their tomato scrambled eggs are great—but skip the big plate chicken❌ (dry and not fresh). ④ Mayibu Xinjiang Cuisine: Their oily meat noodles and meaty noodles are both tasty, with great group-buy deals. ⑤ Shuran Specialty Dishes: Mediocre flavor, skippable. ⑥ Don't miss Nalati Town's Wednesday Bazaar if you're here midweek! Hunt down the beef skewers from a husband-wife stall—freshly cut and skewered, 5 yuan each, tender and authentic. ⑦ Wangjingyuan Homestay's homegrown garden dishes are fresh and organic.
