Japan｜Mid-August at Lake Yamanaka offers the most stunning scenery of the year.

Starting from Tokyo by car, it took us about 4 hours to finally arrive at "Hana-no-Miyako Park" near Lake Yamanaka. Walking into the sunflower field in full bloom, we were all deeply moved by the breathtaking view before us. The entire Hana-no-Miyako Park requires an admission ticket, but this sunflower field is open to the public for free. It's truly a heartfelt and generous attraction! The golden blooms swaying under the sunlight, with Mount Fuji faintly visible in the distance, create a scene that feels like stepping into a postcard. On our way to Lake Yamanaka, we also stopped to feed swans and found a less crowded yet charming international-style restaurant by the lakeside. Enjoying delicious food while feeling the lake breeze, it felt like the perfect way to spend Japan's mid-August long weekend—relaxed and carefree. 📍Tips: • Sunflower blooming period: Early to mid-August each year, depending on the weather. • Check the flower conditions before driving to avoid disappointment. • Summer days around Lake Yamanaka can be intensely sunny; remember to use sunscreen and stay hydrated. • When feeding swans by the lake, avoid giving inappropriate food to protect the ecosystem.
