[Tokyo] A gorgeous vermilion-painted shrine

Higashi Hachiman Shrine 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Hachiman Shrine in Yaguchi, Ota Ward. This shrine was founded in 1250, when it was transferred from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine in Kamakura, the head shrine of the Hachiman Shrines. In 1911, Ryoke Hachimangu Shrine (Nishi Hachiman) was enshrined. The current shrine building was built in 1972 as a reinforced concrete Shinmei-zukuri building. It was painted in its current beautiful vermilion color in 2004.
