Memoirs of a Family Trip to Rizhao

Traveling during the off-season in April We happened to encounter an orange wind alert in Rizhao, and all scenic spots were closed the next day. Luckily, on the third day, the wind died down and the sky cleared—no filter needed! 🏠 Accommodation: Rizhao Xingdao Fantasy Hotel Caught the 5:35 AM sunrise 🌅—just a short distance away even if you wake up at 5:30! The Ocean Family Room was quite spacious, and I really liked it. The view outside the window was lovely too 🏞. There were children's play facilities right at the doorstep. 🎢 You can go tide-pooling right by the hotel's coastal area—we even found starfish! Attractions: 🗺 Wanpingkou: Highly recommended—no entrance fee and great scenery. World Sailing Championship Base: Beautiful views, but sailing was canceled due to strong winds that day. College Student Night Market: Lively with all kinds of snacks 🍡. 🌟 Real Experience: A city I really enjoyed—less crowded compared to Weihai and Qingdao since it's more under the radar. It's a 4-5 hour high-speed train ride from Shanghai. The attractions are close to each other, and best of all, no entrance fees! As long as it's sunny, Rizhao's sea is blue—overcast days just don't do it justice.
