Suzhou Travel｜A Sweet Night's Dream in This Charming Jiangnan City

🤩 Since graduating from university, I've rarely returned to Suzhou. Taking advantage of my free time after having a baby, I planned a trip to Suzhou with my mom👩~ Stayed at a super satisfying🈵️ hotel Explored poetic Jiangnan gardens A perfect💯 2-day, 1-night getaway **Hotel Choice ⬇️** 📍 Shangri-La Suzhou 🚇 Located on Shishan Road in the New District, close to Metro Lines 1 and 3, with direct access to major attractions 🛍️ Right across from Longfor Paradise Walk shopping mall, perfect for dining and shopping 🚖 Just a 10-minute drive to Hanshan Temple and Suzhou Museum West Branch This time, I specifically chose the ultra-photogenic Shangri-La Horizon Room! 37th-floor views, floor-to-ceiling windows facing Shishan Mountain, offering panoramic vistas of lakes, mountains, and city lights~ Lying in bed while admiring the scenery and listening to the tale of "Shishan looking back at Tiger Hill" was simply magical✨ Don’t miss this room type if you love great views! 🛏️ Room details that won me over: ✔️ Shangri-La’s signature high-end decor and amenities—pure luxury at first sight ✔️ Super comfy bedding for a restful night’s sleep ✔️ Spacious bathtub in the bathroom (psst… you can enjoy the view while soaking🛀) 🍴 Dining was a feast! ✔️ Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes, catering to all tastes ✔️ Dinner featured an all-you-can-eat CRAWFISH! 🦞🦞 buffet—so many flavors, all delicious!! ✔️ Grilled oysters🦪, sashimi platters, seafood🦞, Suzhou-style braised pork noodles, and more—all mouthwatering ✔️ Durian lovers, rejoice! Fresh durian cakes and desserts were to die for😋 🍃 Exploring Suzhou Suzhou fulfills all my Jiangnan fantasies. Even after studying here for 4 years, I still can’t get enough!! With attractions like Pingjiang Road, Shantang Street, Humble Administrator’s Garden, Lion Grove, Tiger Hill, and Suzhou Museum, I’d recommend spending a week here if possible~ This trip, I only visited Lion Grove—a compact yet stunning garden, totally worth it🤩 **Tips for Visiting Lion Grove 🥰** 1️⃣ Wake up early! Gardens are best enjoyed in the morning with fresh air and fewer crowds 2️⃣ Wear comfy shoes—the rockery maze is quite steep 3️⃣ Consider hiring a guide or searching for "Lion Grove tour" online to enhance your experience!
